Origin of Wesak: When the baby Sakyamuni Buddha was born, he was showered with spring water from the Heavenly Dragons. Henceforth, bathing the baby Buddha has become a tradition.
Benefits of bathing the baby Buddha: eradicate affliction, promote health and longevity, gain merits and wisdom, bring about world peace.
