His Holiness the 17th Karmapa invited Ven. Dayi Shi to the 4th Dialogue of the Three Major Traditions of Buddhism during his premiere visit to Canada in June 2017. On that occasion, Ven. Dayi Shi and the 17th Karmapa effectively exchanged experiences and opinions on propagation of Buddhism in western countries in the contemporary world. Though the two renowned Dharma Masters represent two different Traditions of Buddhism and speak different languages, they have a mutual responsibility and goal of teaching Buddhadharma to all sentient beings. After hearing of the construction of Wutai Shan Buddhist Garden in Canada, the 17th Karmapa decided to have a visit to pay tribute to Manjusri Bodhisattva and support this grand Buddhist project.
